About Amy

BIRTHDAY
October 28th

FAVORITE FOODS
Any veggies, pizza and even though I'm a vegetarian, every once in a while, I order the biggest slab of prime rib on the menu (medium rare)

THINGS I HATE
Rude people, uncomfortable shoes and wet lettuce (I'm a big salad person and if the lettuce hasn't been properly dried, it makes the dressing watered down and the entire salad gets soggy..GROSS!)

FAVORITE BARS
I don't have a favorite, but I do enjoy a good dive bar. Pool tables and dart boards are always a plus, oh- and the music should never be too loud unless there's a live band or it's a bar with a dance floor. I mean, seriously, why should we have to listen to some crappy old song blaring over the speakers when all I really want to do is hear the the conversation at the table. Then again I do wear headphones everyday for work, so my hearing is probably less then fabulous.

FAVORITE COUNTRY ARTISTS
Gary Allan. I saw him before I was working in country music, so I didn't really want to go. Turns out the people who dragged me in ended up wanting to leave early, but I was loving the music so much, I stayed at the concert by myself. It was awesome! Also, I'd like to add Brad Paisley and Sugarland to the list...LOVE THEM!

SOMETHING YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME
Growing up in International Falls, MN, my family actually lived on an island in the summer. It's true. There was no TV, which is why I fell in love with radio, I listened non-stop. We had to take a boat across the lake everytime we wanted to go into town. It was a great way to spend the summers, that is, until I started caring about what my hair looked like- all summer I sported the "wind blown" look! To this day I can make a bonnet/wind protector helmet out of any camouflage coat, pants or vest you can throw at me.

CONFESSION
I'm a speed walker. For anyone who doesn't know what that REALLY is, you're probably saying "so what"? But for those who've witnessed how truly idiotic it looks, let's just say, "you know what I'm talking about". I get laughed at and taunted on a daily basis.

CHRIS CAGLE MAKES A DREAM COME TRUE

Chris Cagle Makes A Young Girl's Dream Come True As Her Prom Date
This Is A Side Of Chris We've Never Seen Before!

Chris Cagle made one young lady’s dream come true and an entire community embrace her story. Chris accompanied Miss Danielle “Bella” Romeo to the prom held this past weekend at the Victoria Community Center, Victoria Texas.

“Bella is an extraordinary young lady,” Chris introduced. Since the age of thirteen, Miss Romeo has suffered from a rare seizure disorder. “This is not just one rare illness, the doctors say Bella ‘endures a rainbow of seizures’ and the cause is unknown--unidentified,” Chris added.

A patient at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, Bella’s life-threatening condition is being reviewed a team of fifty neurologists. Her treatments have caused her to gain weight; she cannot drive, nor attend public school.

Bella and her mother were introduced to Chris at a benefit concert (October 2007) by the event chairpersons, Jim Babcock and Anna-Leigh London. (Chris trains and boards his horses at the Babcock Ranch in Texas.) “Bella was so weakened by the lights, she could not make it through the entire show,” Chris said. “My heart went out to her.” On May 3, Chris Cagle brought joy and “life” back into Bella’s heart.

Chris accompanied the 17 year-old, tenth grader to the Junior/Senior prom. (The high school made a special exception for her to attend.) Bella wore a pink strapless custom-made, one-of-a-kind, ball gown and Chris wore a suit jacket designed by Manuel.

“Chris, a gentlemen we hardly know, took my child by the arm, and I could see it in his eyes, his honor in the moment,” Bella’s mom, Nipal Corder, said. “This is a ‘forever’ moment for my daughter and a blessing not only to her, but our entire community. The community’s response to this man’s kindness has been overwhelming. I believe Chris Cagle was a gift in our lives, I believe he blessed this child and our community who has embraced this story. He’s given strength and unity to me and Bella and our entire community.”

The evening ended with a limo drive home. Chris’ single Wal-Mart Parking Lot is now on the ballot to be considered as the graduating senior theme song.

“Danielle was the ‘Belle’ of the ball, and I thank her for an unforgettable evening and the honor,” Chris said.
